Yahoo Answers ran for sixteen years as the internet's most dependable source of undependable information. Yahoo announced the closure on 5 April 2021, switched the site to read-only two weeks later, and shut it for good on 4 May, with users given until 30 June to download their own content. Yahoo confirmed it had no plans to archive any of it, so sixteen years of questions went out with the site.
