Google stopped selling Daydream View after consumer and developer adoption never arrived.
Google's cloth-covered viewer turned a Pixel into a VR headset, launched alongside the first Pixel in 2016, and only worked with a short list of certified phones. Not one phone released in 2019 supported it, including Google's own Pixel 4. Google's postmortem was unusually blunt for a hardware obituary: there had never been the broad consumer or developer adoption it hoped for, and usage of the headset had been falling the whole time.
