Google shut the Google Podcasts app down in 2024 and moved podcast listening into YouTube Music.
Google Podcasts launched on Android in June 2018, took until March 2020 to reach iOS, and was marked for death in September 2023 so its audience could be herded into YouTube Music. American users lost the app on 2 April 2024; everyone else lost it that June. Six years is a respectable run by the standards of Google's own graveyard, which now has enough residents to need a filing system.
